Catherine Boussard-Plédel has been developing chalcogenide-based optical fibers for 25 years at the Rennes Institute of Chemical Sciences (CNRS/University of Rennes/ENSCR/INSA Rennes). This research engineer has climbed all levels of the CNRS to bring her technology to the highest level. It is now used in many fields, from medicine to the environment and energy.
