DuoDay is based on a simple principle: for a whole day, a person with a disability pairs up with a professional to find out about their job and immerse themselves in their daily life.
This approach benefits :
- the disabled person, who discovers an activity and perhaps a vocation
- the employee in the pairing, who has the opportunity to change the way they look at disability
- the employer, who discovers the assets and professional qualities of workers with disabilities and can raise awareness of the issue of their integration into the workforce.
Emmanuelle Limanton, CNRS assistant engineer, welcomed Nicolas in the laboratory and showed him around the research activities of her floor.
He visited all the equipment of the S2Wave platform and learned about the current research project on the extraction of plant matrices using eutectic solvents. They prepared two extracts together.
Nicolas really enjoyed his day at ISCR and thanks the Institute for its welcome.
