Chemistry Metallurgy C-Met

The research activity of the Chemistry-Metallurgy team concerns the development, characterization and mechanical properties of functional alloys whose applications concern the aerospace, nuclear, biomedical industries, etc. It is one of the founding teams of UMR 6226 since its creation in 2006.
Composed mainly of metallurgists, teacher-researchers and technical and administrative staff at INSA Rennes, the team focuses its research on the following aspects: alloy synthesis, microstructural transformations during heat and thermomechanical treatments, martensitic transformation, recrystallization, texture, mechanical properties, superelastic and shape memory properties, deformation mechanisms and plasticity, surface treatments.
