Education and professional experience

Professor Hassane Oudadesse currently is the Head of the research unit of Biomaterials since 2001, Vice President of University of Rennes 1, Human Resources 2008 - 2012, Director of Master 2, Solid State Chemistry and Materials (CSM) since 2006. He was the President of the Chemical Section from 2002 to 2004 and the President of the specialists commission Rennes, CNU 33 (Materials Chemistry) from 2003 to 2008.

Current themes of research

Hassane Oudadesse graduated from the National Insitute of Nuclear Physics and Particle Physics (IN2P3) University of Blaise Pascal, Clermont-Ferrand, France. He obtained his PhD on nuclear physics in 1989. His works concern the use of nuclear methods for development in biomedical field. He was worked as associate Professor and obtained his HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) in 1998. He works in the University of Rennes 1 as Full Professor in the “Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Rennes”, UMR CNRS 6226 since 2001. His works concern the conception, synthesis and physicochemical studies of new biomaterials (bioactive glasses, calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate and geopolymers) and their associations with specific bisphosphonates for applications in orthopaedic surgery and for the treatment of cancer or osteoporosis. Biocompatibility, kinetic of bioactivity, kinetic of bio consolidation in the interface bone - implants, cells enhancement and other properties of biomaterials are another area of Professor Hassane Oudadesse’s research filed.
