ISCR chemists supported by the “Ligue Contre le Cancer CD35”

Last Friday February 3, 2023 took place the ceremony for the funding allocation

During a reception which took place on February 3, 2023 at the Departmental Council of Ille-et-Vilaine, several scientists from the Rennes Institute of Chemical Sciences (ISCR) received their funding by the Ligue Contre le Cancer CD35 for their projects related to the treatment of Cancer.

The laureates are:

Regional research projects (Ligue Contre le Cancer-ARED)

  • Sandrine Cammas-Marion, Mickaël Bourgeois (CRCI2NA – Inserm Nantes) & Nicolas Lepareur (Centre Eugène Marquis – Rennes) for a Ligue Contre le Cancer CD35/Région Bretagne thesis grant for her project related to original chelates modified by peptides for the targeting of hepatic tumors: synthesis, characterization, radiolabeling and in vitro/in vivo evaluations. PhD student: Baptiste Taffoureau.
    Topics: Chelates/ Targeting peptides/ Liver tumors.

Interregional research projects (CSIRGO)

  • Jean-Pierre Bazureau, Ludovic Paquin, Emmanuelle Limanton & Maxime Guéguinou, William Raoul (Nutrition, Croissance & Cancer, N2C Inserm U1069, Univ. Tours) for their project entitled “Mitochondrial calciferous signaling: a new therapeutic way for colorectal cancer and mechanistic exploration via fluorescence probes (CalMiTheraFluo)”. Fields: Cellular biology / pharmacology / chemical synthesis.
     
  • Christophe Crévisy & Pascal Loyer (Institut NuMeCan Rennes): Elaboration, encapsulation and antitumor evaluation of organometallic complexes in vitro.
    Field: chemotherapy, chemical syntheses, vectorization.
     
  • Florence Mongin, Frédéric Lassagne & William Erb for their project on the development of selective inhibitors of the GSK-3 alpha protein kinase and impact on the chemoresistance of cancer cells of various tissue origins.
    Fields: chemotherapy, chemical syntheses, kinase inhibition.
