Thierry Benvegnu's work over the last fifteen years has led to the creation of SurfactGreen, an innovative company offering manufacturers high-performance, biodegradable 100% plant-based ingredients with much lower ecotoxicity.
In 2022, Thierry Benvegnu was awarded the Agri/Agro Environmental Intelligence prize from the Rennes Innovation Campus. A fitting reward for this expert in green chemistry, whose work has been developed through technology transfer to the SurfactGreen start-up.
This professor from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR) works at the Rennes Institute of Chemical Sciences (CNRS/University of Rennes/ENSCR/INSA Rennes). It was there, in 2004, that he devised his first patents on biosourced surfactants.
